Applies To: All eligible Njord smartwatches enrolled in NjordCare+ Protection (Subscription Model)
Terms and Conditions
NjordCare+ Protection is a subscription-based extended protection plan offered by Njord Gear Co. to provide added coverage for your Njord smartwatch. This Plan is designed to protect against accidental damage, hardware failures, and (under specified conditions) theft or loss. The Plan is available via monthly subscription, cancellable at any time as outlined in Section 6.
2. Eligibility & Enrollment
To be eligible, the Covered Device must be purchased new from Njord Gear Co. or an authorized reseller. Enrollment must occur either at the time of purchase or within thirty (30) days of original retail purchase, and the device must be in functional, undamaged condition.
3. Coverage Details
a. Covered Events ("Service Events")
Eligible subscribers are entitled to up to two (2) Service Events per calendar year, including:

Accidental Damage from Handling ("ADH") — only after the initial 30-day money-back guarantee period — including:

Cracked or shattered screen
-
Internal water damage
-
Structural casing damage
-
-
Battery malfunction (only if the device fails to power on due to battery failure)
-
Original Njord Gear strap breakage (limited to the strap included with purchase)
-
One (1) Njord Gear charger unit originally included with the watch package; replacement will count as a Service Event
-
Theft or loss (subject to Section 5)
b. Exclusions
The following are not covered:

Cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches, dents, discoloration) that does not impact functionality

Damage caused by negligence, abuse, unauthorized modifications, or third-party servicing
-
Accessories not originally included in the retail box (e.g., optional straps, docks, chargers)
-
Incidents occurring after cancellation or lapse of the subscription
4. Service Process
Each Service Event may be subject to a non-refundable Service Fee, determined by the nature of the damage and the model of the Covered Device. A flat $19 USD administrative fee will also apply to all approved theft or loss claims to cover verification processing, logistics, and replacement handling. These fees do not include applicable taxes payable by you. All Service Events must be initiated through Njord Support.
Customers are not required to return the damaged unit. Replacements may be new or refurbished Njord Gear units with equivalent or better functionality. The remaining Plan term continues with the replacement.
5. Theft or Loss Protection
This Plan includes coverage for theft or loss, provided the following conditions are met:

A valid police report or carrier-verified loss declaration is submitted to Njord Support

The subscriber attests that the device was unrecoverable using "Find My Njord"

The subscription has remained continuously active for the minimum qualifying period required for full coverage

If a theft or loss occurs prior to meeting the qualifying threshold, the incident will be logged as a Service Event but no replacement or reimbursement will be issued
6. Cancellation Policy
a. Subscriber-Initiated Cancellation
You may cancel your NjordCare+ Protection subscription at any time:

Cancellations must be made through the Njord Gear website or written request to customer support

No refunds will be provided for any monthly charges incurred prior to cancellation
-
If a Service Event has already been claimed, cancellation will not result in any refund or prorated reimbursement
b. Provider-Initiated Cancellation
Njord Gear Co. may cancel this Plan in cases of suspected fraud, misrepresentation, or failure to pay monthly subscription fees. Written notice will be provided in advance, except where prohibited by law.
7. Transferability
This Plan is transferable with the Covered Device. If the watch is sold or gifted, the active NjordCare+ subscription may transfer to the new owner, provided:

The monthly subscription remains in good standing

The new owner notifies Njord Support of their contact and ownership details
8. Unserviceable Claims
If Njord Gear is unable to repair or replace the Covered Device:

A store credit will be issued equal to the original device purchase value; or
-
A cash refund may be offered at Njord Gear’s sole discretion
9. General Terms

This Plan is subject to the legal warranty provided under the Consumer Protection Act (Quebec), which ensures that goods must be fit for normal use for a reasonable duration and free of hidden defects.

This Protection Plan offers benefits in addition to those provided under the legal warranty pursuant to Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act. Nothing in this Plan limits or replaces those legal rights.

If you are a resident of Quebec, you may be entitled to a prorated refund upon cancellation, in accordance with applicable provincial laws.

This Plan is governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the applicable laws of Canada.

This Plan is a service agreement and not an insurance policy under Canadian law. It provides service-related benefits as defined herein.

This Plan is subject to and incorporates by reference the Njord Gear Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Return Policy. These can be accessed at:

In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to attempt resolution in good faith. Residents of Quebec retain all rights under provincial law regarding dispute processes.
10. Purchase Option Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your NjordCare+ subscription at any time. Coverage remains active through the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for prior billing cycles. Coverage will lapse immediately if payment fails or the subscription is paused.
